Back in March, Soccer Mommy announced her third studio album Sometimes, Forever with its lead single “Shotgun.” That would have been good news by itself, but it was made intriguing by the news that Daniel Lopatin a.k.a. Oneohtrix Point Never would be producing the whole project. “Shotgun” was a lovely preview of how Soccer Mommy’s shaggy indie rock collided with Lopatin’s otherworldly electronics, and on Monday night the song got a performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
